Getting started
Verified and trusted
What the Verified badge means, what being a trusted organizer changes, and how each one happens.
Two separate things say how well DO868 knows you. Neither one turns on the other, and neither is the same as confirming your email.
Verified: the badge on your page
When the DO868 team has confirmed who runs a page, they mark it verified. A Verified badge then shows next to your name on your page, on your events and in line-ups.
Your page shows Verified organizer (or Verified for entertainers) once it's done, or Not verified yet until then. There's nothing to apply for: the team verifies pages once they've confirmed who runs them. The private legal or registered name on Your page helps with that. If you'd like to speed it up, get in touch.
The badge doesn't change what you can do in the portal.
Trusted: your events publish directly
Every new account starts with its events checked by our team before they go live. Once you've had a few events approved without problems, the team may make your account trusted. Then:
- New events are published as soon as you submit them.
- Changes to live events apply straight away.
- Repeating events get all their dates at once.
You'll notice it because the portal stops saying your event will be reviewed, and buttons say Submit Event rather than Submit for review. It takes effect without signing out and back in.
Trust can be taken back, in which case your future events and changes are reviewed again. Events already published stay published.
Confirming your email is separate
Confirming your email proves the address is yours. You need it to send anything to our team, whether you're trusted or not. See Confirming your email.
