Venues

The venue is optional. Without one, your event shows the island and area you picked.

Choosing a venue

Under Venue, choose Choose and type the venue's name. The search also matches its area and address. You can narrow it down by island, area and kind of place (bar, club, beach, hall and so on). Venues from your own events show first, marked Recent.

A Not verified badge means the DO868 team hasn't checked that venue's details yet. You can still use it.

Picking a venue fills in the event's area, if you hadn't filled it in.

Adding a venue that isn't listed

If you can't find it, choose + Add a new venue called with the name you typed. Give:

• Venue name: 2 to 120 characters.
• Address (optional): up to 200 characters.
• Area (optional): up to 80 characters.

The venue uses your event's island. It's saved with your event, and added to the venue list for everyone once the DO868 team has reviewed it.

A place that isn't a venue

For a boat ride, a road march, a meeting point or a secret location, use the event's Location note instead, for example "Meet at the jetty" or "Location given to ticket holders".
